Mustache Samedi Weekend FS Nyon 6120 EQ: All-Rounder

With its Samedi Weekend FS, Mustache is presenting an SUV that is clearly off-road-ready thanks to its genes. All components, such as the 130 mm suspension fork, the in-house 120 mm rear damper, or Bosch’s CX unit, play to their strengths in demanding terrain.

A look into the cockpit with its slightly cranked handlebars and three spacers under the stem confirms that the Frenchman in a pastel-green aluminum chassis with fine edges is still designed for pleasure rides. A Vario seat post is also part of the well-thought-out equipment.

The 625 Wh battery, which can be optionally supplemented with a second one, is easily removable in the down tube and sits as low as possible for optimal shifting of the center of gravity. The high-quality full equipment includes a lighting system with a Supernova front light, very robust aluminum splash guards, and a 27-kg luggage rack.

Comfortable and resilient

Leaning slightly forward, the pilot takes a seat on the tight saddle. Pushed powerfully right from the start, the coarse and wide Maxxis tires (27.5 inches) roll with little resistance, even on asphalt. Arriving off-road, the Samedi Weekend scores straight away with superior directional stability, agile riding performance, and first-class damping comfort.

The interplay of the powerful CX motor with its support that harmoniously adapts to the riding experience and the direct shifting processes of the Shimano Deore 12-speed also works brilliantly uphill. If the journey goes downhill, the braking system reliably kicks in with first-class deceleration.

Even beyond 30 km/h, there is no frame fluttering with loaded panniers, which impairs smooth running. With a maximum system weight of 150 kg, the horizons are wide open for cycling holidays with bikepacking equipment.
